Patience pays off....

Who doesn’t love hydrangeas? About 5 years ago, we planted a few hydrangea plants in our backyard and after a few years of waiting for them to bloom we decided to replant them in the front yard. Nothing spectacular happened right away and I was ready to give up, but this year, the results are amazing. Patience paid off.

We have become a society of instant gratification. It’s so easy to click buttons on our phones and computers with immediate outcomes. We are losing our ability to invest time and effort and wait to experience the results of our endeavors. What can we do about this? We can plant many seeds and diversify our interests and projects knowing that some of these will blossom while others will wither away. The delayed gratification typically feels that much better and impacts us in a more permanent way.
