Swing for the green...

As I get ready to head to my first Women’s Solheim Cup to watch female golfers of the USA battle against golfers from Europe, I can’t help but think of the year women are having, not only in sports, but also across a broad array of arenas. 2024 is clearly a significant year for women to be recognized for their best efforts and to have their voices heard.

After many years into my career, I can see more clearly and definitively how impactful it is to have female role models who are secure in their abilities and are willing to take risks despite their fears. The phrase “fake it to you make it” resonates with me and other women as we get more comfortable with exuding confidence despite some reservations.

It’s exciting to see so many women excel and have their accomplishments celebrated by a larger audience. As I walk the Robert Trent Jones course at the Women’s Solheim cup today, I will keep my head high and watch amazing women swing for the green.
