Believe in your people: Super Heroes will emerge
While managing people can be difficult with a variety of personalities and work habits, I have seen that when you believe in your Team, they can transform into super heroes. The majority of people who work are motivated by their ability to make an impact. It’s human nature to want to contribute in a positive manner. When people are not engaged and don’t feel empowered to do their work, they do not give their best effort and are often discontented.
Believing in your Team may seem like a simple concept, but in reality, many managers don’t let their people do their jobs without looking over their shoulders and second guessing them. I am certain that many of you who are reading this post know exactly what I mean. Managers, please give your Team a chance to perform at their best. All you need to do is believe in them and provide good coaching and mentoring along the way. It is for certain that you will see a positive impact on your Team’s performance.
