Taking a page from my teenage daughter’s notebook…

Constant learning makes life joyous and fulfilling. Watching my teenage daughter research a social justice topic, that is of importance to her, is truly inspiring. By learning more about this topic, my daughter believes she can directly impact awareness of this injustice, not only with her school classmates and her family, but also more broadly.

This example reminds me that every step we take to identify and learn more about injustices is an opportunity to raise awareness and make a positive impact. As we near the end of 2020, a challenging year to say the least, we should focus on taking a step, any step to educate ourselves and others in order to make a difference and fight injustice.
