Built for use...
Have you ever really looked at a bird’s nest and admired the structure and hard work it took to build? The intricacy and complex engineering of these nests remind us of the passion and desire that all living things have to create valuable output. In general, there are no short cuts to creating value and how you demonstrate and communicate the benefits are critical to success. Birds work with great effort to create nests of the highest quality to attract mates who will find their nests “architecture worthy” of their notice and use.
This is a good analogy for the efforts it takes to build a product or service that is deemed valuable enough for customers to take actions. Unlike birds, businesses can’t rely on the “if you build it, they will come” mentality. If you don’t let your potential customers know why they should take notice and connect with them in their preferred channels of communication, your “bird nest” will be nice to look at but never utilized. Why build it, if your customers don’t notice.
