Living your brand...
Everywhere I go these days, I see people of all ages posting and looking at their Instagram, Snapchat, or Facebook accounts. Building brands isn’t just for companies today as individuals focus on creating their personal brands and image. On the one hand, self-promotion doesn’t always feel right and can be received in a less than positive manner. However, it’s an accepted and expected practice and allows us to connect and engage with other people and products.
In order to build a strong brand, social media should match all aspects of the brand. Living your brand means all messages and actions must be consistent and align with your brand’s mission. It’s not enough to create an image of your brand without the behaviors to support it. While “an image is worth a thousand words,” poor communications and/or actions can degrade your brand in a New York minute.
