Open your eyes...

Have you ever looked at something, but never really seen it? Recently, I was in New York City and passed by Rockefeller Plaza, one of my favorite places to walk around for the architecture and art as well as the holiday decorations and ice skating. On this particular ‘wander around’, I was struck by the stainless-steel bas relief sculpture, “News”, that is perched above one of the doors at Rockefeller Plaza (as seen in the image posted).

After staring at this sculpture for some time, I finally was able to absorb this work of art and see that it was beautifully communicating the energy of reporters and the news. Our lives move so quickly and we often walk around without really experiencing the present, the now, as we get caught up in the “noise” around us. Whether it be your work or personal life, this is a reminder to take the time to focus and experience the incredibly rich world in which we live.
